This morning, I met the 5 Sisters of St. Joseph who are bound for Uganda for ministry there. They looked great for having come from a transatlantic flight. They had just three hours on the ground in Brussels, so we got them their boarding passes, then headed for a cup of coffee, and some belgian chocolate; then it was on to passport control and on their way. It was good to see them and catch up a bit; a great break from studying.
Peace,

Amy

Oh Amy, Thanks so much for putting the pictures of the sisters going to Africa on your blog. How special for you to meet them and share 'GREAT' treats! I don't know about any of the others but I am sure that JoAnn was in her glory. That's a favorite! Now, back to studies.
Love,
Marianne
Amy Dear, this is so great. I drove the Carondelet van to the airport yesterday and was at this end to see the Gulu Team off. How special that you were there in Brussels to meet them. I am sure they were thrilled to see you. They should be landing in Entebbe about now. God be with them and you too! Maryellen T.
Thanks for the blog entry about our sisters heading to Gulu, Uganda. I'm so glad you met them and treated them to coffee and Belgian chocolate. Maryellen said they received word this afternoon that the sisters had landed in Uganda and were staying in a convent in Entebbe, where they'll be for a couple weeks before leaving for the 11-hour bumpy trip to Zulu.
Love,
Mary Ann H.
Just realized - there was a typo in my comment - Gulu instead of Zulu.

Belgian chocolate is reputedly the BEST chocolate in the world! Leave it to Amy to give them a royal sendoff. Fran J.

Dear Amy,
Really great to see the photos of our Team Gulu...and now they're in Gulu. Spoke with JoAnn very briefly Friday, 12:15 AM ( Sat ), their time and 4:15 pm (Friday ) in Illinois. They had a long day, cleaned the small house they will stay in for awhile and most were sleeping when she called. It was raining. But so-o-o very good to hear her voice. We all wait to hear more.
Thanks for sharing the pictures.
